esentially her song mean girls is about dasha from the red scare podcast and i read the lyrics and just decided charli xcx is not an artist i want to be supporting. i just think she's wrong. i don't even want to go into it all cuz it’s truly not worth my time but just know that's why the vid is gone

why i made this video.

i was racking my brain trying to remember why i started making this video and i was suddenly hit with the OH. my second life avis name is Rotten hahahah. i named them that because rotten is baked into the Marcika brand. first of all…. “Is today the day I show my rotten heart - it’s so unlikely, it’s so unlike me” one of my fave lyrics of all time. and my gaia avi is xX_roTTeN miLk_xx (bc i used to be Oreos_Favorite_Milk… we’ve been over this if u read my gaia page). anywaysss rotten is like sooo me. so when i heard the lyrics to apple i was like okaayyyyyyy meeeee!!! esp bc secret (my song where the rotten lyric is from) is LITERALLYYY about familial trauma being passed down just like apple so i was liek omgg twinzz!

so i had the genius idea to make a second life mv. clearly this is a trans allegory as well. im transmasc and its like.. just watch it with that lens. ill write more about that later but im literally going on a trip in 2 days and im just now writing this (ugh i have so much to do) (also airport. lol.)

and my mom JUST helped me move and we were having so many apple moments. there was a point where we were both crying and she was like im going home (she drove up from LA - i live in the bay) and she ended up not going home but like. im gonna drive gonna drive all night.

anyways i started making this when brat had just come out and i was like so confused why people weren’t talking about apple. now they get it but like… real appleheads got it from the start. not that it matters but… okay tbh it does mean something to like something before its cool. to everyone who is here and into marcika before im cool: i remember everyone who is kind about my art and supportive of me, especially while im small!! it’s hard to be a trendsetter for sure.. before the world gets what im doing, it’s nice to see the kinds of people who enjoy what i create. some people need things to be popular before they get into them which is totally cool and fine, there are things im that way with too!! but i think anyone who likes anything first does get to be a little annoying about it. i can’t think of anything i got into late rn but if i think of any i will let u all know. just to prove im not perfect. (as if not being perfect isnt like my whole thing LOL) (i usually get into things early tho bc i have always spent a lot of time on the internet. only child with a single mom vibez) edit: coming back 5 mins later to say i thought of something. charli xcx. i knew of her for a while but wasn’t like INTO her until crash. my bestie liv who is even better about knowing about things than i am was like lets go see charli live. and we did. and she was awesome. she made me thing so much about what it means to be a pop star performer. esp as a fellow leo queen. at the time i was really trying to understand what i wanted to be as a performer and it really affected me to see the way she performed on stage. i also loved crash idc what anyone says. i loved i love it and the song where shes on top of the school bus and is like i dont wanna go to school i just wanna break the rules. so me. excpet i literally didnt break any rules cuz i was a fucking square. its true!!!!! i was never a snitch tho i loved seeing people break rules. i was just so scared of getting caught. as an adult tho sometimes breaking the rules is SURVIVAL. so thats truly why u should never ever snitch. if u snitch on people shame on u and go to hell. ask urself who made the rule… most likely it was someone who got power in an unethical way and made a rule to keep the status quo as is. dont ask me for specifics rn im going to sleep now.

but ya i just kept having visions of how i would record this video and i had a lot of fun making Rotten brat green colored. im also scene so i have having fun making avis with a scene style. charli love this album but u dont own brat green just so u know. if u see me wearing this color in the future its cuz i like it not cuz im having a brat summer or whatever. i am also a leo. so its not all about u charli. its also about me.

i hope more scene ppl join second life tho, esp scene creators. id love to start making clothes in sl!!! the best part of sl is the creativity. all the fashion and all the sims… like i just knew there’d be an airport sim i could record the airport part in and ofc there was. love the airport part with the stripper pole on the airplane. that and me shoving my cock into the devil’s face are my 2 fave parts. oh and when i fall from the tree. lmfao. i clearly had fun making this so i hope you have fun watching it!!
